Process automation for hardening plants
RAA | The process automation of the hardening plant for garden shears parts takes place in two steps:
Step 1: Feeding of garden shears blanks
The workpieces are fed by Berger Feeder with three connected feeding belts and camera control. Robot 1 removes the workpieces from Berger Feeder and loads the turning and insertion station. The turning and insertion station is equipped with two Schunk parallel grippers to pick up two garden shear parts.
Step 2: Automation of a hardening line
Robot 2 is equipped with a gripper with a 90° tilting device to pick up the flat-lying parts from the turning and insertion station and place them upright in the magazine cassettes in front of the hardening oven in two rows one after the other.
The robot cell is equipped with a feed conveyor in front of the hardening system, two stationary lifting devices, two magazine towers, a loading station incl. measuring system for determining/measuring the loading position as well as infeed and outfeed conveyors.
