Werner Peters, Otto Manderbach

Strip grinding machines for special blades since 1919

Werner Peters made a name for itself in the field of special strip grinding machines since more than 30 years.

First and foremost, the machines are employed for the production of industrial blades and mechanical knives.

1919 | Otto Manderbach was founded in 1919 and was known as one of the leading companies in the field of the production of grinding machines for razor blades and similar technical blades.

1950 | In the 1950s and 60s Solingen was the center of the razor blade industry. At this time a big part of the razor blade production was made on Manderbach machines.
As the razor blade market declined the producers of blades concentrated on the production of technical blades – and with them Manderbach did the same.

1970 | The engineer Werner Peters founded the handicraft enterprise Werner Peters GmbH & Co. KG.
In the beginning the company was designed as a contract manufacturing company. Later the service range was extended by its own construction, assembly and start-up.

1980 | The company Otto Manderbach was taken over. Both companies were settled in Solingen.

1998 | The engineer Axel Peters took over the company from his father.

2007 | The consolidation of the two companies in 2007 brought together both product ranges to one big product range of WERNER PETERS GmbH & Co. KG.
Due to continuous investments in machines and buildings as well as initial and further training of staff the company has become one of the leading companies in the field of grinding machines for technical blades.

2010 | The company is taken over by the Berger Gruppe.
