NU/S: Strip surface treatment by metal-cutting for heavy-duty applications
As with the NU grooving machine, the NU/S series grooving machine removes a layer of coating from the strip surface with one tool per module. The tool is vertically and horizontaly adjustable. The grooving machine of the NU/S series has been designed for heavy-duty machining with high material removal. The grooving machine can be designed as one module (NU/S), two modules (DNU/S) or more modules.
When a wide layer of coating has to be removed from the bottom side of the strip the DNU/U/S is employed (photo on the left side).
