3rd conference on production technology for surgery
Together with Otto Röhrig Gesenkschmiede, the Berger Gruppe organized the third Production Technology for Surgery conference at the Aesculapium in Tuttlingen on 27 November.
The latest developments in the manufacture of surgical instruments were presented in six specialist lectures. The topics were varied and complex - from forging technology and the use of superabrasives to CNC grinding machines with robotics and feeding technology, process-adapted nozzle technology and the topic of sustainability in steel production.
The presentation on optimizing the heat treatment of corrosion-resistant metals in medical technology by Dr. Michael Blüm from the Chair of New Manufacturing Technologies and Materials at the University of Wuppertal and Dr. Kai Uwe Paffrath from WMU GmbH was one of the highlights of the event.
With 90 participants, the symposium once again surpassed its two previous events. The organizers were delighted with the high attendance and the positive feedback from participants.
"The third Production Technology for Surgery conference was also a complete success," stated Marco Chiesura, Managing Director of the Berger Gruppe. "We hit the mark again with the selection of topics and the expertise of the speakers. This is reflected in the high number of visitors, which continues to increase with each symposium. We'll be back in two years' time!"
