WSL5 | The machining cell achieves cross grinding on saw blades with two peripheral grinding machines of the WSL5 series.

In contrast to the solutions previously available on the market, the grinding cell operates fully automatically. The gear teeth are inserted in a two-stage grinding process, whereby 50 saw blade blanks are inserted in a package via robots into the respective grinding machine, removed, measured and magazined.

The new concept for automating grinding wheel, dressing roll and workpiece changes reduces setup times from 10 hours to 20 minutes.
