For even better cutting quality of your knives the Berger Gruppe employs a confocal 3D microscope which transforms nearly all surfaces into precise measured values.

By means of a special software it is possible for example to measure both sides of razor blades and to evaluate the measured values subsequently. For a precise adjustment of the machine the grinding angle and the thickness of the material have to be measured continuously.

In addition to that it is now possible to measure the roughness according to DIN EN ISO.
