Presentation of the scholarship "Deutschlandstipendium"

In November, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research awarded the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship to students at state and state-recognized universities for the tenth time. Since 2015, the Berger Gruppe has sponsored two scholarships every year for students in the field of mechanical and/or electrical engineering.

On Monday, Nov. 16, 2020, the Berger Gruppe presented scholarship recipients Nadine Lienenklaus from the electrical engineering department and Aileen Blonderath from the mechanical engineering department with their Deutschlandstipendium certificates. Dr. Andreas Groß, Managing Director of the Berger Gruppe, was pleased that the two scholarships supported by the Berger Gruppe are going to two young women this year, as they are still understaffed in the MINT professions (mathematics, informatics, natural science and technology).

Representatives of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the University of Wuppertal joined the small ceremony at the facilities of the Berger Gruppe via video conference to congratulate the scholarship recipients. Annika Grübler, head of the Deutschlandstipendium office, was very sorry that it was not possible to hold a celebration on a large scale due to the pandemic.
