KS: Fluted edge grinding on knife blades

The KS series peripheral grinding machine achieves fluted edge grinding on knife blades. The machine is often combined with a robot system from the RSP series or a peripheral grinding machine from the WSM or WS series. The grinding machine is designed for processing knives with a cutting edge of up to 350 mm in length.

• Grinding spindle driven by special motor with 7.5 kW
• Grinding wheel Ø 300 mm × width according to the fluted edge grinding design
• Frequency inverter for stepless adjustment of the spindle up to 60 m/s
• Dressing the CBN wheel with diamond dressing roller (Ø 80 mm) - without profile roller
• Drive for dressing wheel 1.5 kW/2,800 rpm
• Movement controlled by robots
• Pneumatically operated clamping device for fluted edge or scalloped grinding
• Designed for wet machining
