Rotary hobbing on the profiling center combines turning and milling technology. The process is based on freely programmable synchronization between the workpiece spindle and tool spindle by means of an electronic gearbox. This ensures maximum precision and pitch accuracy.
Cycle times are reduced thanks to extremely short metal cutting and magazine times. Cylindrical workpieces can usually be fed through the hollow spindle of the spindle head.
- Manual loading for special and small series possible at any time without conversions thanks to freely accessible work area without interfering contours
- Swiveling of the manually swiveling tool unit from polygon machining to gear cutting without major set-up effort
- Combination of different operations on one machine thanks to drilling, turning and milling tools integrated on the tool slide
