Steel strip handling for steel strip metal-cutting machines – strip tensioning technology

STRIP TENSIONING TECHNOLOGY FOR STRIP PROCESSING LINES

For certain belt processing operations – e.g. machining a complex chamfer on the belt edge – the belt tension is too high for safe winding with small belt cross-sections. In this case, the strap tension is reduced with an S-block and strap tension dancer.

STRIP TENSIONING TECHNOLOGY FOR STRIP PROCESSING LINES

For certain strip processing operations - e.g. processing a complex chamfer on the strip edge - the strip tension is too high for safe winding with small strip cross-sections. In this case, the strip tension is reduced with an S-block and strip tension dancer.
This means that thin and narrow strips can also be processed and then wound up or wound up to larger
diameters.

S-BLOCK
The S-block serves as a belt tension reducer or intensifier if the belt tension needs to be reduced or the tensile forces increased. The belt tension is reduced to 1⁄5 and more. Additional pulleys increase the FZ reduction or transmission ratio accordingly. Automatic slip control is integrated into the S-block. The use of the S-block is essential when processing the edges of weak strip cross-sections and/or during spooling. The processing of sensitively coated belts such as Teflon is made possible by an extended S-block.

BELT TENSION DANCER
The belt tension dancer shifts the belt tension reduction area of the rewinder. This means that even very small belt cross-sections can be run. In the unwinder, the strap tension dancer
decouples the strap tension from the coil mass.
