PROCESSING EXAMPLE:
EXTENSION OF PLUG-IN KEYS
LP130 series
To make the production of extensions more efficient, production steps are split up and carried out in parallel on the LP130.
Extensions are manufactured in three work steps:
- Overspeed
- Machining the square
- Drill hole
In the first processing station, the workpiece contour is turned and the square (sw 1/4″-3/8″-1/2″) is hobbed. The workpiece is then transported to the second processing station, the drilling station. This is also located on the machine bed for reasons of rigidity.
In the drilling station, a CNC-controlled cross hole is drilled into the square (2.5-6.6 mm diameter). The next square is machined in parallel to the drilling process.
