In November, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research awarded the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship to students at state and state-recognized universities for the tenth time. Since 2015, the Berger Gruppe has sponsored two Deutschlandstipendium scholarships each year for students in the fields of mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
On Monday, November 16, 2020, the Berger Gruppe presented the scholarship certificates for the Deutschlandstipendium to Nadine Lienenklaus from the electrical engineering department and Aileen Blonderath from the mechanical engineering department. Dr. Andreas Groß, Managing Director of the Berger Gruppe, was pleased that the two scholarships supported by the Berger Gruppe are going to two young women this year, as they are still understaffed in the STEM professions.
Representatives of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the University of Wuppertal joined the small ceremony in Kohlfurth via video conference and congratulated the scholarship holders. Annika Grübler, Head of the Deutschlandstipendium office, expressed her great regret that it was not possible to hold a large-scale celebration due to the pandemic.
