The system is designed for the automated production of band saws and band saw blades up to 5 m in length. <\/p>\n<p class=\"_ap3a _aaco _aacu _aacx _aad7 _aade\" dir=\"auto\">Integrated into the robotic cell are two state-of-the-art 5-axis CNC grinding and edge-processing machines featuring numerous technical innovations, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"_ap3a _aaco _aacu _aacx _aad7 _aade\" dir=\"auto\">Innovative multi-tool holder<\/li>\n<li class=\"_ap3a _aaco _aacu _aacx _aad7 _aade\" dir=\"auto\">Ultrasonic measurement and process monitoring<\/li>\n<li class=\"_ap3a _aaco _aacu _aacx _aad7 _aade\" dir=\"auto\">Tactile measurement systems for inline strip thickness measurement and process control<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The welded steel strips are ground on their surfaces, machined on both edges, and laser-marked in a fully automated process.<\/p>\n<p>With innovations like this in process automation, production can remain economically viable even in highly developed industrialized countries.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Berger Gruppe has developed a completely new type of robotic feeding system with a star-shaped magazine for welded steel strips.
